Unmanned systems forces destroy two Russian Tor-M2 SAMs worth $50 million

- 24 September, 09:39 AM

On one of the front lines, operators of the 412th Nemesis Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces detected and engaged two enemy Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems. As a result of the attack, one installation was destroyed and the other was seriously damaged.

"Tor-M2" belongs to the short-range complexes that the Russian troops use as part of an echeloned air defense system. They are designed to cover troops and facilities from strikes by aircraft, missiles and drones, as well as to protect medium- and long-range air defense systems S-300 and S-400. The system's target interception radius is up to 15 km, and the cost of one new installation is estimated at about $25 million.

The unit noted that the operation was made possible through the use of an innovative solution, the details of which are not disclosed.

Let us recall that a few days ago, fighters of the "Nemesis" regiment destroyed a rare enemy offensive road paver.
