Danish company Sky-Watch presented the RQ-35 Heidrun fixed-wing unmanned reconnaissance aircraft complex at the DSEI 2025 exhibition. This is reported by Army Recognition.

The platform is adapted for operations in difficult conditions and is designed for low-altitude surveillance and reconnaissance missions. According to the publication, it has been used in combat operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2022.

The RQ-35 Heidrun has a transmission range of 45-50 km, depending on the antenna. The drone's transmitter operates in the 2.2 to 2.5 GHz range, and the system is able to independently select a radio channel, change encryption using up to four keys, and form a beam. The communication channel protection includes AES-GCM 256 and ECDH-KAS standards.

The glider has dimensions of 1070 x 1650 x 170 millimeters, and the take-off weight exceeds 3 kg. It is noted that the drone can fly at an altitude of up to 5000 meters, the flight time is up to 150 minutes, the cruising speed reaches 16 m/s (about 58 km/h). The drone can withstand operating conditions from -20°C to 45°C, as well as winds up to 16 m/s.

A number of systems ensure constant safety in the event of loss of navigation signal or communication with the operator, as well as low battery charge.

The version of the system in the transport case weighs 24.7 kg excluding batteries, while the version with a mobile backpack weighs 15.7 kg. It is noted that the drone can be launched from the hand. A tablet with Windows OS is enough to control the drone.

It was previously reported that the exhibition showed an export version of the Ukrainian drone "Bulava", which has artificial intelligence, a guidance system, and is also protected from GPS and GLONASS jamming and coordinate substitution.
