Ukrainian developer of ground robot TerMIT raises $3.74 million from MITS Capital
Ukrainian-American investment group MITS Capital has invested $3.74 million in Ukrainian robotics company Tencore. The developer is known, in particular, for its multifunctional robotic complex TerMIT. This is stated in a press release from MITS Capital.
The deal was announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025) in Rome. The investment was structured through the "Diya.City" legal regime directly into the Ukrainian legal entity Tencore.
"MITS Capital is proud to sign the first contract between an American investor and a Ukrainian company in the field of defense technologies through "Diya.City", said CEO & Founding Partner of MITS Capital Perry Boyle.
MITS Capital noted that the agreement opens a legal path for international investors to make direct investments in Ukrainian jurisdiction without the need to find workarounds.
"Since the beginning of 2025, the "Diya.City" legal regime, developed for technology businesses, has actively expanded into the DefenseTech sector and has more than 300 resident defense companies," the report says.
As explained by MITS Capital, Article 29 of the Law of Ukraine "On Stimulating the Development of the Digital Economy in Ukraine" contains provisions that allow for the creation of a loan agreement with an alternative to the performance of the obligation. Additional protection for the parties is provided by agreements in the contract on the applicable law with certain countries for conducting arbitrations or courts whose decisions are automatically recognized in Ukraine.
"This mechanism makes investments in Ukrainian legal entities as reliable as in the usual venture business C-Corp in Delaware or E-Residency company in Estonia," emphasized Denis Hurak, CIO & Founding Partner of MITS Capital.
MITS Capital is an investment group founded in 2024 with offices in Kyiv and New York focused on investing in Ukrainian defense technology innovations. As of July 2025, MITS Capital's portfolio includes 11 companies.
Tencore is a Ukraine-based developer and supplier of robotic platforms, with a team of over 200 people working on them. The TerMIT development has a modular architecture that adapts to different tasks. The platform can be used for logistics, evacuation missions, support for engineering operations, including mining and demining, as well as providing fire support to units on the front line.
By the way, in June it became known that the Ukrainian manufacturer of communication systems Himera Radios and the company Tencore will work together to create stable and secure communication for ground robotic complexes.
