- 4 September, 03:42 PM

At the MSPO exhibition in Poland, the Ukrainian company Fire Point presented the FP-2 "middle strike" class strike drone for hitting targets near the front. This is reported by Militarnyi.

The new product is structurally similar to the long-range FP-1 UAV, which is used to strike targets in the rear of Russia, but has different characteristics. The range has been reduced to 200 km, and the warhead has been increased to 105 kg.

This drone is capable of hitting stationary objects in autonomous guidance mode, as well as moving ones, in which case it is controlled by an operator via radio. The drone can operate both day and night.

It is noted that the FP-2 is already being used on the front lines, with the developers offering options with a stationary launcher and a mobile version that can be disguised as a truck.

In addition, Fire Point has already announced a number of new projects at the MSPO exhibition. These include the FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles. The first one is said to have a range of up to 200 km with a 150 kg warhead. The second one can fly up to 855 km with a 800 kg warhead.

Recall that in the spring the FP-1 drone was presented. At that time, it was reported that it is designed to defeat the enemy at strategic depth. The UAV is capable of carrying a warhead of up to 120 kg and flying at a distance of up to 1,600 km.
