The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine has launched a compliance audit regarding the procurement of unmanned systems for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The audit covers the process of defense procurement: planning stages, conclusion of contracts and control over their implementation. The list of objects of control includes the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defence Procurement Agency.
The audit aims to identify the reasons for delays in the delivery of drones and provide recommendations to address the identified shortcomings. It is expected that the results will improve the process of providing the military with the necessary technologies on time and in accordance with quality standards.
The audit is being conducted by the Department of Control in the Field of Security, Defence and Military-Industrial Complex of the Control (Audit) Department of the Accounting Chamber. Gennady Plis, a member of the Accounting Chamber, has been appointed responsible for the audit.
The audit report is scheduled to be published in November 2025.
It recently became known that the Defence Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine supplied more than 1 million FPV drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from January to July 2025. In total, the AOZ has already contracted more than 2 million FPV drones for 2025.
