Russia plans to monitor its own civilian drones
Russia is preparing a draft resolution that would oblige owners of civilian drones to submit flight routes of all drones to regulatory authorities, Meduza reports, citing the Russian publication Vedomosti.
The project was developed by the Ministry of Transport of the aggressor country. The innovation, as the department suggests, will allow for the creation of a unified drone identification system, which will allow for the relaxation of existing bans on drone flights in the regions.
The data is planned to be transmitted via the "ERA-GLONASS" system. Thanks to this innovation, government agencies, operational services, organizations "performing state tasks to protect against the illegal use of unmanned aerial vehicles," as well as training and educational institutions will be able to receive information from a single identification. It will be free for them, but drone owners will have to pay 560 rubles per month.
The publication of the document, according to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, is expected in the coming days, and the amendments may be adopted by December 1, 2025. They will come into force on March 1, 2026. At the same time, all new civilian drones from March 1, 2025 must already be equipped with ERA-GLONASS trackers, and from March 1 next year this requirement will also apply to those drones that were released earlier.
In the drone market, aggressor countries believe that new fuses will simplify the use of civilian drones and reduce the number of bans.
Earlier, Russia demonstrated its Shahed production plant located in Alabuz. This was reported by their own propaganda media.
