GUR: Russia is capable of producing up to 2,700 Shaheds per month
The Russian Federation currently has the technical ability to produce up to 2,700 units of Shahed-type strike drones per month. This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in an interview with Novyny.LIVE. This is a modification with a warhead. Separately, a significant number of decoy drones are also being produced that do not have a warhead.
According to Yusov, these drones are used by Russia in hundreds in combined attacks with missiles, and such massive strikes create a serious burden on Ukrainian air and missile defense systems. He also emphasized that this is a challenge not only for Ukraine, but also for international partners who help protect Ukrainian skies.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported that the Defense Forces are working on creating an echeloned system to counter Shahed drones. In particular, new crews are being formed, fighter operators are being trained, and their work is being provided with effective means of destruction and radar stations.
