The K-2 Unmanned Systems Regiment announced the creation of the world's first battalion of ground robotic complexes (GRC). According to the press service, the unit has opened a recruitment for various positions - from GRC operators to specialists in related fields.
"Now the robot battalion is not a fantasy from Michael Bay's films, it is a reality that we are creating here and now," the K-2 regiment said in a statement.
The unit already has experience using NRCs in real combat conditions. For example, recently, over the course of four days, K-2 operators evacuated four Ukrainian soldiers from the front line using robotic vehicles. This was reported in one of the videos by the commander of the K-2 regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Kyrylo Veres.
The 20th Regiment was formed on the basis of the second K-2 mechanized battalion as part of the 54th separate mechanized brigade at the end of 2024. Since then, the unit has been actively developing the direction of ground robotics, integrating new technologies and modifications into combat practice.
Vacancies for NRC operation specialists are already available on the unit's official website. It is expected that the list of positions will gradually expand. The unit is actively looking for people with technical skills, including auto electricians, reconnaissance and electronic warfare specialists.
The formation of a new battalion indicates the further integration of high-tech solutions into the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
