The Ministry of Defence announced the opening of a branch in Ukraine of the Norwegian defence company Radionor Communications. It is a long-standing supplier of electronic warfare-resistant communication technologies to the Defence Forces of Ukraine. Information about the establishment of the branch appeared after relevant negotiations on the development of cooperation.

"Having a company’s representative office in Ukraine will simplify the maintenance of its products, enable professional training for Ukrainian personnel, and ultimately ensure these systems are used as effectively as possible," said Deputy Defence Minister Valery Churkin.

At the same time, Radionor Communications CEO Raymond Söderholm called for an urgent need for electronic warfare-resistant communication technologies, especially in unmanned operations in Ukraine.

"Together with our Ukrainian partners and with support from the Norwegian government, we expect to deliver more systems. Our goal is to improve UAV capabilities and support the Ukrainian army in mastering their use," he added.

According to the Radionor Communications website, it was founded in 2000 and supplies highly specialized products and systems to customers requiring ultra-long-range data transmission channels for military, aerospace, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
