GUR showed how a ground robot shoots occupiers with a machine gun in Sumy region
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR showed the use of the "Lyut" anti-aircraft missile system against the enemy on the front in the Sumy region. Exclusive footage also shows the radio interception of the Russians' reaction after meeting with the ground robot.
"Armed with a PKT machine gun, the robot overcomes difficult terrain areas along with fallen trees and craters from explosions, demonstrates stable communication throughout the movement and transmits the "picture" to the control center," the GUR report says.
Having reached enemy positions, the robot "destroys the Russian occupiers with dense machine gun fire."
"The created point of fire suppression of the invaders allows maneuvers for other forces and means involved in the operation," the GUR emphasizes.
The department also adds that its special forces are scaling up the use of ground robotic complexes during combat operations.
According to Brave1, the "Lyut" NRC has been codified according to NATO standards and is actively used by the military. It can cover distances of 20 km and participate in continuous combat for more than 2 hours. It is also capable of operating at a distance of up to 10 km thanks to digital communication.
By the way, recently, the ground robots of the Third Assault Brigade helped capture the occupiers for the first time. In addition, earlier the 13th brigade of the Charter National Guard conducted a successful operation to evacuate a wounded man using a ground robotic complex.
