The Ministry of Defense codified and admitted for operation in the Defense Forces the unmanned ground robotic complex of the heavy class "PROTECTOR".
The NRC was developed by the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company, taking into account combat experience and experience in the production of armored vehicles. "PROTECTOR" will be able to transport up to 700 kg of cargo and perform combat missions, saving the lives of soldiers.
The main tasks of the complex will be the transportation of ammunition and equipment, as well as the evacuation of wounded soldiers. The robot can also be integrated with a remotely controlled combat module with a machine gun, cannon or ATGM/MANPADS, as well as electronic warfare and electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
The range of the unmanned vehicle is 400 km. The internal combustion engine has high power, which together with the all-wheel drive provides high cross-country ability and allows you to overcome obstacles and fords on the road. In the event of shelling, the wheels with RunFlat technology will allow you to continue driving even after damage.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valery Churkin noted that "PROTECTOR" is the first full-fledged representative of a new branch of development of ground robotic complexes. This is a full-fledged unmanned vehicle, adapted to perform combat missions of a completely different level, and the task of the Ministry of Defense is to strengthen the front line with such technologies.
Let us remind you that the other day the company "DevDroid", together with the manufacturer of the ground robotic complex "Ravlyk", introduced a new reconnaissance and strike system called "Droid Raw 12.7".
