A powerful explosion occurred at the Elastic gunpowder plant in the Ryazan region of the aggressor country. The corresponding videos have already been published on social networks.
The explosion reportedly occurred at 10 a.m. local time, completely destroying the workshop. According to preliminary data from the Russian public service MASH, there may be at least 20 people under the rubble. Five people have been killed and up to 74 injured.
The preliminary version of the incident is that the ammunition detonated during work, indicating a safety violation. It is important to note that in October 2021, an explosion occurred at the same enterprise in the workshop of the private explosives manufacturer Razryad. 17 people died then. The plant itself is located in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region.
Recall that on August 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a ship carrying components for the Shahed in a Russian port.
