A GUR sea drone destroyed five elite Russian divers in Novorossiysk Bay
One of the naval strike drones used by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's GUR broke through to Novorossiysk Bay during an operation in the Black Sea, where it exploded and eliminated five elite Russian submarine saboteurs at once. This was reported by Ukrainian intelligence.
According to the agency, the drone made its way into the bay, but due to the action of electronic warfare, it lost contact with the operator and began to drift. After some time, the local command ordered the sea attack drone to be raised for research.
For this purpose, a group of five reconnaissance divers from the aggressor state's navy was sent. They were part of the so-called "PDSS" unit (underwater diversionary forces and means), which includes only elite, highly qualified divers. They have the best equipment, and a lot of money and time is spent on their training.
According to the GUR, during manipulations with the drone, it detonated, as a result of which all the divers died. At the same time, intelligence emphasizes that the personnel of the Russian fleet in Novorossiysk are very dissatisfied with this order.
Recall that in the spring of 2025, the GUR showed unmanned boats with kamikaze drones for operations in the Black Sea. Footage of these platforms can be seen in Artem Shevchenko's documentary "Sea Battle. The Era of Drones."
