Kramatorsk Heavy Machine-Building Plant has registered an international patent for the 2S22 "Bogdan" self-propelled gun. The development is patented as a separate artillery module, designed for installation on various chassis, or as a complete artillery system in full configuration. Militarnyi writes about this with reference to the BTVT armored vehicles reviewer.

The patent was filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) procedure. This treaty allows a Ukrainian company to obtain a patent for an invention simultaneously in many countries.

The agreement will help the Kramatorsk enterprise work more effectively with its own development rights in European countries. It clearly regulates the rights and obligations of the participating countries of the partnership and the Joint Venture.

In the patent documentation, the Bohdana self-propelled howitzer is presented on a new wheeled chassis and in the full product configuration.

The intensification of work on the rights to the artillery system may indicate plans by the Kramatorsk Heavy Machine-Building Plant to soon establish production of the Bohdana self-propelled howitzers in European countries.

Interestingly, Denmark recently announced an investment of $47 million in developing Ukrainian weapons production on its territory. Given the country's previous participation in financing the production of Ukrainian Bohdana self-propelled guns for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, as well as its own need for artillery systems, Copenhagen may be interested in producing Ukrainian artillery systems on its territory.
