The 120th Separate Reconnaissance Regiment is testing a new field kitchen for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is the Kotygoroshko model, created by the Orion industrial group. The head of the rear, Lieutenant Colonel Taras Chayka, spoke about the functionality of the development.

According to him, this model weighs 1.3 tons and is truly mobile. The system can be "transferred" to both a passenger car and a truck. The field kitchen can be disassembled and put into operation in 10 minutes.

At the same time, he notes that a field kitchen makes it possible to prepare a full hot meal for a large number of soldiers – potentially up to 150 people. Moreover, this can be done quickly.

Among the advantages of the Kotygoroshko model are ease of maintenance, the presence of diesel burners, a sufficient number of places for firewood, and an oil "pillow". The latter allows you to keep heat longer compared to water in situations when there is no fire.

The field kitchen for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has several containers for preparing first and second courses, brewing tea, or simply boiling water. In addition, Kotygoroshko has an oven.

"We tested it - it works. We cooked lard with garlic, it's just something incredible," adds Taras Chayka.

He also notes that the main purpose of this kitchen is to be able to cook food during potential power outages.

"... only it (the light - ed.) disappears, everyone immediately goes to the kitchen, and that saves everything," Taras Chayka summarizes.
