"Volynyaka": The Ministry of Defense codified a bomber for destroying heavily armored targets
The Ministry of Defense has codified and admitted the domestic unmanned aviation complex "Volynyaka" for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Main Directorate for Lifecycle Support of Armaments and Military Equipment.
The defense ministry explained that the "Volynyaka" is a hexacopter bomber designed to destroy various enemy targets. The first modifications of this bomber have been operating at the front since the first months of the large-scale war.
"They have destroyed hundreds of enemy military equipment, dugouts, and enemy force concentrations. They are capable of performing combat missions in any weather, at dusk, and in strong winds. The latest versions have significantly improved characteristics," the Ministry of Defense added.
The department noted that the unmanned complex consists of a control panel, pilot goggles, a repeater, and a reusable hexacopter equipped with six powerful brushless motors. The aircraft is designed specifically for transporting cargo in difficult combat conditions.
"It can drop ammunition on enemy targets, the striking power of which is sufficient to destroy heavily armored targets. In addition, the "Volynyaka" can perform logistical tasks: deliver necessary equipment to positions," the Ministry of Defense noted.
As is known, in April the Ministry of Defense codified the Ukrainian-made B-1 unmanned aerial vehicle complex. This is an ultralight strike drone for destroying concentrations of manpower, vehicles and armored vehicles, and military facilities on the front line and behind enemy lines.
In May, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the use of the White Wolf strike unmanned aerial vehicle complex in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The kit includes, in particular: a UAV with a digital combined camera, a command and control station, a set of power batteries, etc.
In early June, it also became known that the Ministry of Defense codified the Ukrainian-made Chief-1 unmanned aerial vehicle complex. The drone is designed to destroy enemy aircraft or manpower using a module that uses shotgun cartridges.
