Ukraine will mass-produce Flamingo missiles in a few months – Zelenskyy

The Ukrainian Flamingo missile will soon enter mass production. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a meeting with journalists on August 20, RBC-Ukraine reports.

"By December, we will have more of them. And by the end of December or in January-February, mass production should begin. We need to look at success in testing, we need to look at the funding of this program," he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that tests of the Ukrainian missile have already taken place.

"And so far, this is the most successful missile we have. It flies 3,000 kilometers, this is important," the head of state emphasized.

At the same time, he added that it is too early to disclose details about the Ukrainian missile until it is possible to use the Flamingo in hundreds.

Earlier, information appeared that mass production of Flamingo missiles had begun in Ukraine, and the first videos of such missile launches were also published. Journalists of Dzerkalo Tyzhnia wrote that "Flamingo" has a warhead of 1150 kg and a flight range of 3000 km, which allows it to destroy almost any previously unreachable targets behind enemy lines. The missile is also protected from the effects of electronic warfare.
