AOZ has already attracted 11 drone manufacturers to the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace

The Defence Procurement Agency continues to award government contracts to drone manufacturers. The Ministry of Defence announced that 11 companies have already been integrated into the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace.

Among the manufacturers whose drones the military will be able to choose are: Escadrone, TAF Drones, Vyriy Drone, VNA Trade, General Chereshnya and Gryf.

According to the Ministry of Defense, in the pilot project, 12 combat brigades can order FPV drones through the marketplace. The system will then be scaled to the entire Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the list of drone types available for order will be expanded.

"While the market offers a wide range of drones, units do not always receive those best suited to their operational tasks. DOT-Chain Defence is intended to change this approach: military units can now place specific orders tailored to their needs. The manufacturer sees actual demand, the unit knows its supplier, and the Defence Procurement Agency ensures transparent and prompt support," said AOZ Director Arsen Zhumadilov.

The format of the marketplace assumes that the military independently selects and orders the necessary drones at the expense of the AOZ. For the pilot stage, the Ministry of Defense allocated UAH 1 billion to the agency for the purchase of drones. The AOZ provides support for the process - from signing contracts to organizing logistics and payment.

Thanks to the digital interaction model, the ordering process is simplified as much as possible - the military only needs three electronic signatures (ES) to receive the drone. The defense department explained that this allows to reduce the delivery time to several weeks. The new digital system began operating in early July 2025.
