Latvia has transferred a new batch of 1,300 drones to Ukraine. This was announced by Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds on the social network X. This is another batch of 12,000 Latvian drones that Ukraine will receive during this year. The first batch of 500 drones was transferred at the end of February 2025.

"The next 1,300 drones manufactured in Latvia are already on their way to Ukraine. After this delivery, 12,000 drones worth over 17 million euros will be delivered to Ukrainians this year!", wrote Andris Spruds.

The production of these drones was financed by the International Drone Coalition, which was established in early 2024. These drones are actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front. They are involved in reconnaissance, artillery fire correction, and target destruction.

The Latvian government systematically implements a military assistance program within the framework of international cooperation, which aims to strengthen the technical capabilities of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield. In particular, it recently became known that Ukraine received the first batch of Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers from Latvia. According to the agreement, our country will receive a total of 42 units of this and other equipment from Latvia for the amount of about €70 million.

It was also previously reported that the international drone coalition, which currently includes 20 countries, has pledged to allocate 2.75 billion euros to support Ukraine in 2025.
