British company MGI Engineering, founded by a former Formula 1 engineer, has announced plans to send inexpensive medium-range strike drones to Ukraine, United 24 reports.

The company said it will deploy SkyShark Kamkadze drones in Ukraine within weeks. In addition, MGI Engineering is developing a heavier strike platform called Tiger Shark for missions where greater range and payload are critical.

According to the initiative, SkyShark is a loitering munition with a 10–20 kg warhead. It has a range of about 250 km and a maximum speed of about 450 km/h. It uses an onboard guidance system to search for and dive on selected targets.

MGI emphasized that SkyShark will be deployed in Ukraine within approximately six weeks, and Ukrainian partners are already ready to produce them. The price of one such UAV is about 67 thousand US dollars.

As for the TigerShark, it is a heavier long-range strike drone. Gascoigne stressed that it will be about two months before the Tiger Shark begins test flights. The price of such a UAV is not disclosed, but it is presented as an alternative to missiles costing up to several million pounds.

It was previously reported that the UK and Ukraine plan to create a "drone wall" to protect Europe from Russian attacks. This will be implemented within the framework of the Project OCTOPUS program.
