Dropla Tech raises €2.4 million to develop AI technology for detecting explosives
Danish-Ukrainian company Dropla Tech has raised €2.4 million to scale its technology for detecting explosive objects using artificial intelligence, the developer said in a statement.
Financing within the pre-seed round was provided by the Danish Export Investment Fund (EIFO), Maj Invest Holding and Final Frontier.
Dropla Tech offers several products. One of them is the BLUE EYES system for real-time detection of explosive objects using proprietary AI models trained on real combat scenarios.
The company claims that the system is specially designed for autonomous operation in combat conditions in the absence of a GPS signal.
Another product is called DROPLA VISION. According to the Dropla Tech website, it is a multi-sensor mapping system that combines optical, multispectral, thermal, and magnetometric data to detect explosive objects using AI.
The manufacturer assures that the system is equipped with a secure military-grade infrastructure, offers automatic report generation and autonomous mission planning capabilities.
Dropla Tech was founded in 2023 by four Ukrainian entrepreneurs. The head office is located in Odense, and the R&D center operates in Ukraine.
