Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey, and Estonia have officially joined the international Electronic Warfare (EW) Coalition, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The initiative expanded during the 28th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in the Ramstein format. The new coalition members signed a corresponding annex to the Letter of Intent.
"Radio-electronic warfare is one of the key capabilities of modern warfare, which allows us to destroy, jam, and stay one step ahead of the enemy. We expect new partners to join the coalition," noted Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The defense ministry recalled that the EW Coalition was established in April 2025 at the initiative of Ukraine, Germany and eight other partner states. Germany is the leader of the initiative - it ensures coordination of efforts and has created a financial mechanism for the procurement of equipment and services in the field of EW for the purpose of operational supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the framework of international military assistance.
By the way, recently the Ukrainian company Kvertus presented a new generation electronic warfare system. The smart EW tool is called Kvertus LTEJ Mirage. Among the features of the tool, the developer calls the ability to block signals on any frequency.
