The International Drone Coalition has pledged to allocate 2.75 billion euros to support Ukraine in 2025. This was reported by the Latvian Ministry of Defense.

Meanwhile, Turkey and Belgium have expressed their intention to join the initiative, which currently unites 18 countries. The country's Defense Minister Andris Spruds announced these intentions during the Drone Coalition Summit.

According to the minister, the expansion of the coalition will allow the supply of more UAVs to Ukraine and strengthen the defense industries of Latvia, the EU, and NATO countries.

The Drone Coalition has already provided significant support to Ukraine since its inception in February 2024. In 2024, it allocated €1.8 billion, bringing the total support over two years to €4.5 billion.

The Minister of Defense also noted that coalition countries have collectively contributed approximately €180 million to a joint drone procurement fund led by the United Kingdom.

The fund is intended for centralized procurement of drone technology alongside national support measures for each coalition member country.

Latvia plans to allocate 20 million euros for the purchase of drones this year, and another 10 million euros for joint projects with Ukrainian defense enterprises. Latvia has also allocated 20 million euros to support Ukraine, supplying almost 5,000 combat drones.

Recall that the coalition includes: Latvia, Great Britain, Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Germany, Sweden and Ukraine. With the accession of Turkey and Belgium, the number of participating countries will increase to 20.
