Spanish company Indra has successfully completed testing of its new NEMUS radar, designed to be mounted on armored vehicles. This development is the result of Indra's collaboration with the German company Rheinmetall.

The system's primary purpose is to protect Leopard 2E tanks and other mechanized vehicles. It is capable of detecting, identifying, and tracking a wide range of threats, including drones, anti-tank missiles, grenade launchers, and supersonic munitions.

The NEMUS radar uses active phased array technology, providing 360° coverage and the ability to detect threats moving at speeds up to 1.8 km/s. The radar automatically activates countermeasures to neutralize threats and is equipped with intelligent algorithms that distinguish between real and false targets. It is also protected against jamming attempts and is capable of operating in a variety of weather conditions.

Indra is also working on adapting NEMUS for other platforms, including the 8×8 "Dragon" wheeled armored personnel carriers and light armored vehicles.
