- 8 August, 03:14 PM

The 13th Khartiia Brigade deployed a communication system in difficult terrain using equipment from the Ukrainian company Himera Radios . This was stated by a representative of the brigade during the presentation of the communication system updates, writes Militarnyi.

The soldier said that the unit's existing means did not allow it to provide the necessary communication. To solve the problem, a mesh solution was used, which allowed for remote coverage.

Details of the operation are not being disclosed for security reasons. However, it is known that the system was deployed using autonomous B1 repeaters and IP-connected R1 repeaters, which were deployed remotely using drones.

The system operated for three weeks, providing communication with forward units. The batteries were charged for this period of time. If they were recharged, the system would be able to continue operating.

By the way, Himera Radios announced the launch of update 2.0 for its tactical radios. According to the developers, their radios are now capable of covering battalion-brigade levels, which is critical for coordination on the battlefield.
