The Main Intelligence Directorate has revealed the characteristics of three versions of its main MAGURA unmanned boats, which destroy Russian ships and air targets in the Black Sea. These naval drones were shown at an official event attended by a journalist from the Oboronka project.

Three versions of all-weather boats were presented – MAGURA V5, MAGURA V6P and MAGURA V7. They are designed not only for destroying enemy ships and air targets, but also for reconnaissance, patrolling, ship protection, mine and firefighting, rescue operations and cargo delivery.

MAGURA V5 is the main drone in GUR operations. It has the function of swarm operation, automatic target tracking, multi-channel satellite communication, thermal imaging cameras and the ability to install a combat module with a machine gun. It can carry up to 320 kg of explosives and has an autonomy of 48 hours. This is the fastest boat in the family, it is capable of speeds up to 90 km/h when fully loaded.

MAGURA V7 is a new combat version of the boats. It is equipped with an acoustic environment monitoring system and with a generator can be at sea for up to 7 days. Their distinctive feature is the integrated air defense systems: AIM9/P-73 missiles or a machine gun module. If necessary, they can also be used as kamikazes. The V7 boats also have a significantly longer range than other drones in the family – 1,500 km.

MAGURA V6P is a non-combat version of the Magura. It is designed for reconnaissance, patrol, rescue operations and cargo delivery.

The GUR recalled that over the entire time, thanks to the MAGURA family of combat boats, the fighters of the GROUP 13 unit have hit 17 targets. Among them are 2 helicopters, 2 fighters, 6 patrol boats and 7 warships. 15 of them were destroyed.
