Ghana is interested in using Ukrainian drones to strengthen its borders
Ghana has expressed interest in Ukrainian drones to protect its borders, the press service of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported following his telephone conversation with Ghanaian President John Dramani Magama.
The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, in particular in the agro-industrial and defense sectors. Particular attention was paid to surveillance and security technologies, including Ukrainian UAVs, which can help Ghana counter threats from jihadist groups on the border with Burkina Faso.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is ready to provide assistance and transfer relevant developments to strengthen the defense of its African partner.
The presidents of both countries exchanged invitations to visit each other's countries and agreed to meet at the ministerial level to initiate practical steps to expand cooperation.
