The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine the Ukrainian unmanned FPV aviation complex "Svitlovod". This was reported by the Main Directorate for Lifecycle Support of Armaments and Military Equipment.

The defense ministry clarified that the complex's drones are built on a sturdy frame, have high-performance engines, and high-capacity lightweight batteries.

"These "birds" have a fiber-optic control channel and deliver a warhead over a distance of several dozen kilometers," the Ministry of Defense noted.

It was also added that the drones are equipped with automatic target detection and recognition systems. Depending on the configuration, they can be equipped with day or night cameras.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the "Svitlovod" deploys into combat position in a few minutes.

The Ministry of Defense recalled that since the beginning of 2025, more than 60 samples of unmanned aircraft systems with a fiber-optic control channel have been approved for operation in the troops.

By the way, the Ministry of Defense recently codified the "Volynyaka" bomber for the destruction of heavily armored targets.
