Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine hit 5 Russian fighter jets at the Saki airfield on the night of August 4. One enemy aircraft was completely destroyed, the SSU reports.
"This night, drones of the Central Operational Command "A" of the SSU "visited" the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. It is a key Russian airbase for operations in the Black Sea. As a result of the strike, a Su-30SM aircraft was completely destroyed, another was damaged. Three Su-24 aircraft were also hit," the report says.
According to the Security Service, the enemy suffered significant losses - one Su-30SM aircraft alone can cost an average of $35-50 million.
It was also added here that as a result of the special operation of the Central Military District "A" of the SSU on the territory of the airfield, an aviation weapons depot was also hit.
As is known, on June 1, the SSU conducted a special operation called "Web". During it, Ukrainian drones attacked strategic aviation in the Russian rear. According to the SSU, the estimated cost of the enemy's strategic aviation that was hit during the operation is $ 7 billion.
As part of the operation, according to the Security Service, 41 Russian strategic aviation military aircraft were hit – some of them were irretrievably destroyed, and some aircraft will take years to rebuild.
