The Ministry of Defense codified the line of fiber-optic drones Predator REBOFF
3DTech has become the first Ukrainian developer to successfully complete the codification of the line of fiber-optic unmanned aerial systems Predator REBOFF at the Ministry of Defence. This is stated in the department's statement.
The drones have coils of fiber optic cable between 10 and 20 km long. Development of the drones began in 2023, and the first test batches entered the military in 2024. The manufacturer currently offers five fiber optic models.
One of the models is the Predator REBOFF 10 Lite 10KM. It is designed to repel assaults and for urban combat. The effective range of the drone is 8-9 km, it can carry a combat load of 1.8 kg.
The REBOFF 10 Lite 15KM Predator is a budget drone with a 15km coil that reveals its potential on the front line of combat, both when working on equipment and for indoor maneuvers. It has a warhead weighing 1.5 kg.
Predator 13 REBOFF 20KM – a model with a 20 km coil. It is suitable for destroying enemy guns, mortars and electronic warfare systems.
As for the Predator REBOFF 15KM model, the operator can stop the drone near an enemy logistical line and wait in ambush for a priority target for hours. The model is powered by a single 8S3P 13,500 mAh battery pack, while the 20-25 km versions use two such packs.
The REBOFF 10KM Predator is capable of carrying a 2.2 kg payload up to 10 km, making it useful for repelling enemy attacks, frontline operations and urban combat.
"The entire line of 5 UAVs is designed to fly at altitudes of up to 500 m at speeds of up to 70 km/h. However, some models during tests successfully uncoiled at speeds of up to 143 km/h," the report says.
The company has equipped the drones in the line with special quick fasteners, which allows the structure to be assembled and disassembled without the use of ties. Each UAV is equipped with legs for safe takeoff, landing and waiting in ambushes.
If you need to upgrade your radio-controlled drones to fiber, REBOFF coils can be connected to 10 and 13-inch drones from other manufacturers. The developer is preparing to codify drones with coils for 25 and 30 km.
It was recently reported that mass production of 30-km coils for fiber optic FPV drones by 3DTech has been launched in Ukraine.
