About 400 million euros of German military aid to Ukraine will be directed towards long-range strike drones and FPV interceptors of Ukrainian production, Welt reports, German Aid to Ukraine writes.

According to media reports, funding is provided in particular for such models as the AN-196 Lyutyi with a range of up to 2,000 km and Bars with a range of up to 800 km.

As for the interceptor drone, it is the VB140 Flamingo model with a flight range of up to 50 km. The drone can be used, for example, to intercept Russian reconnaissance drones, thereby saving expensive air defense assets.

Additionally, it was also announced that Germany will finance repair facilities for its industry in Ukraine. According to Welt, this is a contract with KNDS, which has not yet been finalized. It involves the repair of the company's equipment: Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, Dingo MRAP wheeled armored vehicles, PzH 2000 self-propelled guns, etc.

Recall that on May 28, Germany announced a military aid package for Ukraine worth 5 billion euros. The funding has already been approved by the Bundestag.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the signing of a letter of intent, according to which Germany will finance the purchase of Ukrainian long-range weapons worth hundreds of millions of euros.

The minister also announced the signing of a contract with Diehl Defence for the production of IRIS-T systems and missiles for them. Its total cost is 2.2 billion euros.

In addition, Rustem Umerov informed that Germany will finance the purchase of Ukrainian-made medical equipment.
