GUR showed how UJ-26 Bober drones destroyed enemy air defenses and damaged a fighter jet

The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) showed a video of how Ukrainian UJ-26 "Bober" drones with a thermal imaging camera hit several Russian air defense systems and an aircraft in occupied Crimea.

The video captures the successful destruction of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun complex along with the military, the Niobium-SV radar, the Pechora-3 coastal radar, the Protivnik-GE radar, and a Russian Navy Su-30 fighter jet at the Saki airfield. The video shows the Bober evading enemy air defense missiles and continuing its flight to the target.

An important update to the drone is the catapult launch system, demonstrated in the video. Previously, Beaver drones launched from prepared airfields on the ground, maintaining the landing gear throughout the flight, which negatively affected the speed and aerodynamic characteristics of the drone.

The UAV UJ-26 Bober is one of the first long-range drones in service with the Ukrainian Defense Forces. It is capable of flying a distance of 800 km at a speed of 200 km/h with a warhead weighing about 20 kg.

Earlier it became known that European countries are ready to finance the production of Ukrainian drones on their territory. For example, the Netherlands signed contracts with Ukrainian companies for 600 thousand drones. The country allocated 500 million euros for this.
