Ukrainian developer group "Wild Hornets" has demonstrated new capabilities of its Sting combat drone. In the published video, the device accelerated to 315 km/h, making it one of the fastest combat drones in the first person.
According to the manufacturer, Sting has been performing combat missions for two months. During this time, it has destroyed 205 enemy drones: 78 Shaheds and 127 Gerbers. The drone is equipped with an artificial intelligence targeting system, which allows it to effectively destroy enemy targets.
The first reports of the Sting appeared in the fall of 2024. At that time, it was noted that the device is capable of speeds of over 160 km/h and can climb to a height of up to 3 km. The new demonstration confirmed a significant improvement in technical characteristics. The cost of one Sting, according to Business Insider, is about $2,500.
Earlier, the Wild Hornets successfully tested a new copter drone-interceptor that can fly at an altitude of up to 11 kilometers. Video footage from the test was published by the developers on social networks.
