According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of 2025, the Ukrainian Demining Capabilities Coalition (DMCC) has already raised 93 million euros. This was announced during the 14th meeting of the coalition's member states, which took place in Reykjavik (Iceland).

The main attention was focused on clarifying the contributions of the coalition member states to equip and train the demining units of the State Special Transport Service and the Armed Forces Support Forces Command.

"Last year, we achieved a lot together: real capabilities have been deployed on the ground; trained specialists are working in the most challenging conditions; equipment provided by partners is saving lives every day," said Colonel Ruslana Beregulya, Head of the Main Department of Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety, who heads the Ukrainian delegation.

Ruslan Beregulya also thanked the governments of Iceland and Lithuania, which are the coalition's lead states, for their consistency and foresight in building the infrastructure needed for demining and rebuilding Ukraine.

The DMCC coalition was established in February 2024 within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine. It includes 23 countries, including, in addition to Lithuania and Iceland, Belgium, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Japan, the United Kingdom, and, in fact, Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the area of potentially mined territories in Ukraine has already decreased by more than 20% and currently amounts to approximately 137 thousand square kilometers.
