DevDroid introduced a combat robot with a Browning machine gun

- 24 June, 08:18 PM

The Ukrainian company DevDroid, together with the manufacturer of the ground robotic complex “Ravlyk”, introduced a new reconnaissance and strike system called Droid Raw 12.7.

This complex combines the “Ravlyk” platform, previously intended for logistical tasks, with the Wolly 12.7 combat module. This allows the robot to perform reconnaissance and combat missions. The Wolly 12.7 module is equipped with a 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine gun, which is remotely controlled. The complex also has a narrow-angle, wide-angle or thermal imaging camera and an automatic guidance system. According to the developer, the complex hits targets at a distance of up to 1 km.

The “Ravlyk” platform has an electric motor, all-terrain tires, compact dimensions, and is low-noise. It was codified by the Ministry of Defense in December 2024.

The Droid Raw 12.7 complex supports multiple communication channels adapted to the task and terrain, and can travel up to 20 km on a single charge.

According to Defender Media, DevDroid will integrate its Wolly turrets into various combat systems, including the Droid TW 7.62/12.7, starting in 2023. The company's systems are actively used on the front lines, which reduces risks for servicemen.

By the way, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine recently codified another ground robotic complex, "DODGER." This armored robot is designed to transport the wounded from the battlefield, mine approaches to Ukrainian positions, or roads behind enemy lines.
