The Ministry of Defence is implementing a digital system to support state quality assurance of defense industry products
The Ministry of Defence is working on the digitalization of the defense procurement system. As part of this process, the development of an information and communication system to support state quality assurance of defense industry products is underway. This is stated in the Ministry of Defence's message.
"The new digital system should increase the transparency of defense procurement and trust in domestic manufacturers of weapons and military equipment," the Defence Ministry website says.
The defense ministry noted that the technological solution is also necessary to perform the following tasks:
- automation and unification of state quality assurance procedures, as well as increasing the transparency of processes within the framework of state quality assurance work;
- increasing the efficiency of planning, coordination and control of state quality assurance work.
The open part of the new digital system has already been launched in test mode on the Ministry of Defence website in the Activities - Procurement section. Users can view the following information:
1. the main directions and mechanisms of the state quality assurance system;
2. current legislative framework in the field of state quality assurance;
NATO standards of the AQAP series, which are adopted in Ukraine as military standards.
Foreign language texts of standards posted on the website can be obtained in a working translation into Ukrainian by contacting the State Quality Assurance Department at udgy@mil.ua.
Let us remind you that, according to First Deputy Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk, as of early August 2025, the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine already includes about 900 enterprises. Most of them are privately owned.
