The machine donated by Denmark has already demined over 560 hectares of the Kharkiv region
Hydrema MCV 910 mechanized demining machines, transferred to Ukraine by Denmark, have already cleared more than 560 hectares of the Kharkiv region from mines and other explosives. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The equipment has been actively used since 2024 within the units working on demining deoccupied territories.
Hydrema MCV 910 is an 18-ton Danish-made machine for neutralizing anti-personnel and anti-tank mines with an explosive content of up to 10 kg. It is capable of clearing a strip up to 3.5 m wide, covering automobile and dirt roads. The principle of operation is based on rotating chains that destroy or detonate mines at a depth of up to 30 cm. The operator's cabin is protected from mine fragments by an armored plate located at the rear of the "thresher". In addition, the cabin itself is sufficiently protected from small arms, which increases the safety of the crew during operation.
In total, more than 25 thousand hectares have been cleared in the region, but about a million hectares still need to be checked. Currently, 119 demining groups of the Security and Defense Forces, as well as 132 groups of mine action operators, are working in the Kharkiv region. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, they have neutralized more than 270 thousand explosive objects in the region.
