Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Defence has codified and approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine 50 new models of automotive equipment from Ukrainian enterprises. This is stated in the department's statement.
These are wheeled tow trucks and tractor units, trucks for transporting oversized cargo, universal all-terrain chassis, and wheeled platforms for engineering services and logistics equipment.
"Modernization and upgrading of the Ukrainian military fleet remains an important task for ensuring effective front-line logistics and troop mobility," the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
It can be assumed that these codified examples of Ukrainian automotive equipment are mostly foreign trucks, on which equipment manufactured by Ukrainian enterprises is installed. For example, superstructures and containers for personnel, equipment for creating mobile auto repair shops, or lifts and platforms for transporting equipment.
It was previously reported that the Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Plant received an international patent for the 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzer on a new wheeled chassis. This opens up opportunities for establishing production of the Ukrainian artillery system in Europe.
