The share of Ukrainian weapons in defense procurement by the State Defense Agency exceeded 71%

The Defense Procurement Agency in January-July 2025 ordered UAH 158 billion more in goods from Ukrainian manufacturers compared to the same period in 2024. This is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Defenсe.

"Thanks to this, the share of domestically produced weapons and equipment in the total volume of AOZ purchases increased to 71.4%. For comparison, in January-July 2024 this figure was 44.1%," the defense ministry said in a statement.

According to estimates, the best dynamics are demonstrated by the direction of unmanned systems. The Ministry of Defenсe noted that over 95% of the money for the purchase of drones is directed specifically to Ukrainian manufacturers.

Recently, Defenсe Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the development of the Ukrainian interceptor drone market. According to him, Ukraine has already ordered interceptor drones worth over UAH 3 billion under four contracts.

The Defenсe Minister also reported that the Defenсe Department is negotiating with partners to attract funding for the purchase of such interceptors. He noted that the first agreements have already been reached.
