A new course on defense procurement, developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was launched in the Army+ mobile application in May 2025. In the first month, 1,000 servicemen, mainly from supply, logistics, and procurement units, joined the training.
The course covers key topics: procurement planning, market analysis, and bidding. It is the largest course on the platform, and only 23% of students successfully complete it with a certificate. The military notes that it is informative and useful for testing knowledge.
"The army is not only about technology and combat operations. The army is also about planning support and working with suppliers, because this is critically important for the quality of the units' work. Our team is glad that this extensive and informative course on defense procurement has been useful to so many users," said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.
The training has become especially relevant due to the introduction of procurement officer positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the coordinator of educational programs, Anastasia Kovaleva, the ability to take the course at a convenient time via a mobile application is an important advantage.
The program was created jointly with the Defense Procurement Reform Project, the Ministry of Defense Change Support Office, and with the support of the British Embassy. In total, 12 courses are available in "Army+", which are already being taken by 95 thousand military personnel
