Samsung has recently started rolling out the stable version of One UI 8.0, which was spotted on Galaxy S25 smartphones. However, the first images and videos showing the preview version of One UI 8.5 have already appeared on the network. This is reported by Sammobile, citing insider @Feruzbek_101 from X.
According to the screenshots, there are no changes in the design of icons, widgets, or folders on the home screen. Although the launcher version has increased from 17.0.x in One UI 8.0 to 17.5.x in One UI 8.5.

In settings, keyword search has been moved down, and the software update section now shows the current version of One UI first, while the "Check for updates" option is located at the bottom of the page.

The Phone app has a new look, with the Dialer, Call History, and Contacts tabs placed in a small oval block at the bottom of the screen, and the call button has a drop shadow effect. It also adds a Direct Voicemail feature with live transcription, similar to Live Voicemail in iOS 18.

Galaxy Themes has a new home screen with a brush image. The interface is divided into Gallery and My Stuff sections with four tabs: Themes, Wallpapers, Icons, and AOD.

In Device Care, the memory, storage, and battery indicators are now wider and display percentages. Device status emojis have been replaced with text descriptions.

According to Sammobile, references to One UI 9.0 were also found in the One UI 8.5 firmware code, which may indicate that the next major update for Samsung devices is being prepared.
