YouTuber creates world's largest functional iPhone with 400W flashlight

Blogger Arun Maini created the world's largest iPhone replica, standing two meters tall.

As SlashGear writes, the functional copy of the iPhone 15 Pro Max can make payments, send messages, and also allows you to use applications.

It is noted that the YouTuber teamed up with blogger Matthew Perks to create a replica of the Apple smartphone. The iPhone 15 Pro Max replica made it into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest smartphone in the world, and it took 8 people to lift it.

The device, which looks like an iPhone 15 Pro Max, has custom "innards" - a high-performance PC setup with an Intel i9 processor, 128 GB of RAM and an AMD 6950 XT graphics processor. The phone, according to the publication, runs on Android, not iOS, and also supports Windows with 4 TB of memory divided between the two systems. This large replica can do everything a phone can, including video calls, sending text messages and scrolling through social networks. This iPhone copy can also run Cyberpunk 2077 on maximum settings.

LG's 88-inch OLED panel for premium TVs is used as the display. Blogger Arun Maini said that turning the OLED panel into a touchscreen was not easy. According to him, it was possible to take touch-sensitive LED displays available on the market, but instead, optical glue was used to turn a regular screen into a touchscreen. This ruined the first panel, but the end result was still perfect. The touchscreen responds like a regular phone, allowing users to tap and swipe. The bloggers also made a video call from a distance of 30 meters to prove to everyone that everything worked.

This phone has additional capabilities: the flash alone puts out 400 watts, which is more powerful than a car's headlights. It's so bright that the team had to build a special water cooling system to keep it running safely. The gadget is powered by two massive 3840 watt-hour batteries, which provide far more power than any phone needs. For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery has a capacity of 18 watt-hours.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max replica also features a $35,000 Canon EOS R5 dedicated camera for high-resolution photos, and a Sony RX10-based zoom camera with 100x digital zoom. The smartphone's speaker system includes eight units with four subwoofers, each producing 50 watts, compared to 3 watts on the real iPhone. To make every press feel familiar, each button on the phone uses a pneumatic system that mimics the feel of a real smartphone.

As a reminder, OPPO recently officially unveiled the Find N5, the world's thinnest foldable smartphone. It is the world's first foldable smartphone with IPX9 water resistance and the largest screen among similar devices.
