YouTube introduces new artificial intelligence tools and expanded monetization capabilities

- 18 September, 01:01 AM

During the "Created on YouTube 2025" event, the video service announced the introduction of a number of artificial intelligence-based tools aimed at simplifying the work of content creators and new monetization opportunities.

The YouTube Shorts short video service has integrated the DeepMind Veo 3 Fast generative tool. It is capable of automatically creating background images for short videos with sound.

Its capabilities include tools for animation and style changes, adding props to scenes, AI editing that turns raw footage into a draft of a video, and a "speech-to-song" feature that can turn dialogue into a musical soundtrack.

A new conversational service, Ask Studio, has also been launched, which helps optimize the workflow, suggests ideas, conducts A/B testing to increase audience engagement, and provides automatic duplication of content in other languages.

The updates also affect live broadcasts and podcasts. Streamers will have tools to engage with viewers more deeply, expand their audience, and improve monetization. Podcasters will also be able to use AI to create clips and Shorts from full episodes, and Veo will generate a video sequence based on just an audio file.

In terms of monetization, YouTube has allowed creators to add direct links to brand websites in Shorts. YouTube Shopping will also be available in more countries, and AI will help with automatic product tagging to simplify integration.

The introduction of new features is planned gradually - by the end of 2025 and early 2026.
