Xiaomi has released a new model of Bone Conduction Headphones 2, designed for underwater use, NotebookCheck reports, citing Xiaomi.
The device uses bone conduction technology, which allows sound to be transmitted through the bones of the skull directly to the inner ear, bypassing traditional speakers. This gives the headphones increased water resistance according to the IP68 standard, allowing them to be used while diving.
The headphones also feature 32GB of built-in memory, allowing you to store music files for offline listening without the need to connect to a smartphone.
The device's battery has a capacity of 165 mAh and provides up to 12 hours of operation on a single charge. The headphones can operate at a depth of up to 5 meters for 2 hours without losing functionality.
Xiaomi Bone Conduction Headphones 2 are available in China in black and white for an estimated price of $97. There is no information about an international release yet.
