Xiaomi has officially introduced the Electric Scooter 5 Plus, which is currently only available in the Philippines. It is expected that the scooter will soon appear in Europe, where it already has pages.
In the Electric Scooter 5 line, the new scooter occupies an intermediate position between the basic models and the Max version. The main differences of the 5 Plus are a higher handlebar, a larger platform and 12-inch tubeless tires, which provide a smoother and more stable ride. For comparison, other models in the series use 10-inch wheels. Xiaomi does not disclose the exact dimensions of the platform and handlebars, but emphasizes that the new product is focused on the comfort of long trips.
The scooter reaches speeds of up to 25 km/h and can travel up to 60 km on a single charge . It is equipped with a 900 W motor capable of overcoming slopes of up to 20%. There are three riding modes. You can manage settings and view statistics through the Xiaomi Home application. For safety and comfort, there is a double front suspension on springs, a traction control system (TCS) and a double braking system. The scooter's design is compact and has IPX5 protection. The novelty is equipped with front and rear lights.
In the Philippines, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus costs around €466. In Europe, its price is likely to range between €550–€600, making it more expensive than the base models but cheaper than the Max version.
