At a presentation in China, Xiaomi introduced new AI Glasses smart glasses with voice control, a camera and support for 2K video recording. The novelty is the company's answer to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta.
Xiaomi AI Glasses are equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX681 camera with support for 2K (1440p) video recording at 30 frames per second. The device supports photo shooting, live streaming, and has five microphones with bone conduction and noise cancellation functions. For media playback, there are built-in speakers, as well as a touch control area on the right earcup.
The glasses weigh 40 g and support the installation of both standard and diopter or electrochromic lenses. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor and the proprietary Xiaomi Vela OS system. Power is provided by a 263 mAh battery, which allows the device to work for up to 8 hours without recharging. Charging is carried out via a standard USB-C port - no separate case is required.
The model is available in three colors: black, brown, and green. In China, the price is 1999 yuan (approximately $278). There is no information about the international launch yet.
Recall that Xiaomi also launched sales of the new electric crossover YU7 — a competitor to the Tesla Model Y with a price starting at $35,000. The car is available in three trim levels: Standard RWD, Pro AWD, and Max AWD.
