Microsoft has launched the ability to stream its own Xbox games to PCs, which was previously available on Xbox consoles, TVs, browsers, and VR devices. This is a feature that allows you to stream games from the cloud without having to install them, Engadget reports.
The feature covers over 250 games, including Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Outlaws, and Assassin's Creed titles. Some of these are console exclusives, though most are already available on PC in their native format.
The innovation is aimed at reducing Xbox's reliance on hardware, as well as encouraging subscription sales instead of physical consoles. Streaming saves disk space and eliminates waiting for downloads.
Among the limitations is the need for a digital version of the game, physical discs are not supported, and the service only works in the 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming is available.
To use the new option, you must be a member of the Xbox Insider program and have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which costs $20.
