Musk's xAI plans to release an AI-powered game by the end of 2026

Elon Musk said that his company xAI plans to release a game generated by artificial intelligence by the end of 2026.

He announced this in a reply to a post by user X DogeDesigner, who posted a generated gameplay video, noting that "video games will be dynamically generated by Grok in the future."

It is not yet known how exactly Grok will be used in the game creation process, but xAI positions its developments as a step towards integrating generative AI into entertainment products.

The use of artificial intelligence to create games has long been a hot topic of discussion on social media. Over the summer, user X Desimulate posted a GIF of a generated "gameplay" of a 2D first-person fantasy game.

Solo developer Dominick John was inspired by this and created his own game in a similar style - Project Shadowglass. It is an immersive adventure with stealth elements, set in a dark fantasy kingdom. The game looks so authentic that the author had to prove to commentators that it was not generated by AI.
