The American company xAI, founded by Elon Musk, has filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office to register the trademark "MacroHard", WccfTech reports.
It is reported that this name could be used to create a new company in the field of artificial intelligence. Musk himself has repeatedly mentioned the term "MacroHard" in his posts on the X platform, hinting at the potential use of this brand in real projects.
In one of his posts, Musk mentioned his intention to create a multi-agent AI company, where the Grok AI would spawn hundreds of agents specialized in programming and video creation. The post ends with the text: "This is a macro-task and a hard problem with fierce competition! Can you guess the name of this company?"
Musk has previously criticized Microsoft and its co-founder Bill Gates, particularly for their involvement in programs to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to speculation that the name "MacroHard" could be an anti-Microsoft tactic.
The potential creation of MacroHard could increase competition in the AI industry, particularly in the face of OpenAI, whose activities Musk has also previously criticized. Final plans for the company's launch have not yet been announced.
