Social platform X continues to develop its Communities section. It now includes new sorting options, search filters, and the ability to view your own posts in individual communities, TechCrunch reports.
A community is a separate, moderated feed where users can post on a specific topic. It's similar to subreddits on Reddit. When you join a community, you'll get a separate feed alongside the For You and Subscriptions sections.
The update is already available in the iOS app and is expected to be available on Android and the web soon. Community posts can now be sorted by the following parameters:
- Popular
- New
- By popularity (per day, week, month, year, all time)
- My posts in this community
- My replies in this community
Developing communities could make the platform more appealing to users who want to engage in more focused discussions. Last month, the company made posts and replies from users in communities available to their followers and other X users. To speed up adoption, X also allowed anyone to reply to posts in communities.
